LIST OF UNIVERSITIES IN USA

Many people in india are planning for their Masters program after their completion of their graduates program in India.For all of those who dont know how to approach for the M.S program,this describes the best how to approach and reach their goals..This review is developed based on my personal experiences...
Step 1 :

Many universities ask for GRE and TOEFL scores,so the first step includes writing
[1]GRE (Graduate Record Examination)
[2]TOEFL(Test for English as a foreign Language)

GRE Pattern :

Generally GRE is for 1600 marks.In this mathematics(Quants)is for 800 marks and the other 800 marks for English..

Maths(Quantitative section):

The Quantitative section consists of 28 questions in 45 minutes on all your favourite maths topics from highschool,arithmetic,algebra,geometry,probability,sets and statistics.You have to answer all the 28 questions in 45 minutes.That is 1.5minutes/question.In this section you can score easily.

English :

In this verbal part ,two parts exists.They are :
[1]Verbal
[2]AWA{Analytical writing Assessment}

VERBAL :

The verbal section consists of 30 questions in 30 minutes.Verbal section includes Antonyms
Analogies
Sentence completion
Reading comprehension
This is the difficult part to score....each question has a minute to answer

AWA:

This section consists of two essays,we have to write in just 75 minutes...In this SECTION typical GRE words and sentences should be used to score better..

(*To apply for the test please visit : www.prometric.com)

[2]TOEFL :

This is completely based on four sections and is for 120 marks..

Integrated tasks : 4
Number of Questions : 6
Approx time : 20 minutes

Review :

The Nokia N series comes with a unique features and these are termed as high end collection of phones.In this Nokia N95 has got a very advanced features such as a 5 MEGA PIXEL camera in it.The looks are extremely stylish and more preferrably for the youth.The price for these mobile phones is generally more and the price meets all the requirements.

Design

The Nokia N95 is one smart phone is especially for all the features in its minute size. Although the N95s look slightly larger than a credit card, it is thick on the side. In hand, the unit feels surprisingly light. The soft-touch finish on the back is a pleasure to hold.

One of the first things we noticed is the sharp 2.6-inch 240 x 320-pixel screen. The LCD held up well under sunlight and the picture display is crisp and clear.The important feature for this phone is that it acts as a navigation device.Really unique to the N95 is the two-way sliding mechanism. Sliding the top lid up reveals the alphanumeric keypad, while pushing it in the other direction exposes a column of media playback keys. These buttons are not touch-sensitive although they appear like that.

The annoying feature is that when we slide the lid to access the media keys. The screen changes to landscape orientation but doesn't switch back automatically when the phone is closed. We had to push it further to get to the numeric keys before the screen would go back to portrait mode. The numeric keys, on the other hand, have a surface which makes it easy for typing our messages and they light up in blue when the sensor detects a dark environment.
The 3.5mm audio jack is a god-send for music lovers.There are many things we like on this Nokia, A mini-USB port instead of the proprietary connection for desktop synchronization, a 3.5mm audio jack for our favorite headphones , an external memory card slot that supports microSD media up to 2GB, and finally, a pair of onboard stereo speakers sitting along the sides.

On the back of the handset is where we find the 5-megapixel autofocus camera with Carl Zeiss lens. The ring slider protects the lens from scratches and the integrated flash helps to light up our subjects in dark environments. In use, it's same as a digital camera.

Features :

The main feature in NOKIA N95 is it is employed with a onboard GPS receiver.The map king software is loaded into the phone and if a particular city map is installed in the mobile phone,we can easily navigate,where you are..etc..But one thing here is the asia's maps are free for only 60days and then they are charged..

Besides being able to do basic editing on our snaps, we could also upload photos to our Flickr or Vox accounts, create slideshows and albums, share them on Nokia's LifeBlog and print them.

On the N95, Nokia has also introduced the Video center-an RSS feed reader for videos. The N95 is also a bundle of joy as a multimedia player. It plays MP3/AAC/AAC+/eAAC+/WMA/M4A formats with OMA DRM 2.0 and Windows Media Digital Rights Management (WMDRM) support for music. There's also an FM radio, but you'll have to use the headset as usual. In terms of video, the RealPlayer supports a number of file types including MPEG-4, AVC,3gpp, RealVideo. The experience of watching videos on a compact handheld depends on the screen resolution and onboard speakers. To that extent, the N95 did well.

It is a quadband (850/900/1,800/1,900MHz) smart phone, the N95 is also HSDPA-enabled (WCDMA 2,100). There's also integrated Wi-Fi (802.11b/g), UPnP (Universal Plug and Play), Bluetooth (with A2DP), infrared and a mini-USB port for desktop synchronization.

Several applications also come preinstalled on our review unit. Quickoffice (which can be downloaded free from the Nokia catalog) allows us to read and edit Word, Excel and PowerPoint documents. The N95 also allows you to connect to an optional wireless keyboard via Bluetooth, and reads PDF files and barcodes with the Barcode scanner app.

Performance

Overall, call quality was good and clear audio even when we switched to loudspeaker mode.

The Nokia N95 is rated for 4 hours of talktime and up to slightly more than nine days of standby time. Battery life test was a little tricky on this Nokia, but if we were to use all the above-mentioned features including GPS, Wi-Fi and music playback ,sending text messages and answering a few calls, the 950mAH battery couldn't last beyond 1.5 days.

TOSHIBA SATELLITE P205 REVIEWS

TOSHIBA SATELLITE P205

Review :

The Toshiba Satellite P205-S6287 is a 17” multimedia notebook for home users willing to spend a little to get a notebook computer that can readily handle music, video tasks and the hardware demands of Vista Home Premium. The P205 has plenty of hard drive space for storing media files and comes with a nice bright screen for pleasurable DVD viewing.The configuration is as follows..

Toshiba Satellite P205 Specs

First Impressions

1. Nice view screen
2. Loud, clear speakers
3. Nice overall look
4. light grey keyboard.

This particular version of the P205 had 2GB RAM, a big 4200 RPM hard drive and Intel GMA graphics.

The P205 is a nice-looking notebook.Like almost all the note books it is big and glossy. The shiny back lid has a big, bold, sans serif “TOSHIBA” smack in the middle. When closing the notebook, the lid snapped into place nicely, without any play. In summary, everything appears solid and well made.One should take care while carrying the notebook, when it's open and in use, because the non-flush display and attractive cleaner looks.

Screen

The glossy screen, at a resolution of 1440x900, was excellent.there is no light leakage, very bright and sharp, a real pleasure during DVD viewing. A 1680x1050 option would have been nice.Satisfying all of the people all of the time is simply not possible. LCD quality is primary, and the quality of the P205’s LCD was really superb.

Graphics

The GMA 950 graphics which was in the note book worked well enough with all of Vista’s graphical features.Even Google Earth ran smoothely with a stronger GPU. It is possible to go to the Toshiba website and custom-configure a P205 with the NVIDIA. Go 7600 GPU, at either 128MB or 256MB RAM .256 RAM may be better to perform good grapics tasks.

Sound

The built-in speakers provide much better sound with digital clarity when compared to the ordinary notebooks, offering improved bass, enhanced clarity and exceptional volume for the laptop.As windows vista comes with a good sound..it is very nice to see in toshiba laptop.

Processor and Performance

Performance was generally good,because it is with 2GB RAM and a solid Core 2 Duo CPU. If there is any slowness to be found in the P205, it will come because of using applications that want a lot of graphics power or hard drive speed.

Battery Life

With built-in power management,which increases the battery life has a very goood performance, the 6-cell battery lasted over two hours. It is really a surprise to get a full two hours,because in general laptops will not be that much bright when comes to the last moment.

Heat and Noise

The P205 has a very cool and quiet state, and generally notice laptop heat and noise. Seeing as this laptop is large with big heat vents,the heat is easily exhausted.So that the laptop performance also increases.

Wireless

The Intel 4965 wireless is performed in this laptop,it supports 802.11 a/b/g/n to cover all the bases.

Software

Startup and shutdown were clean, and there was no evidence of software problems.This laptop comes with windows vista,so the performance of the software in this laptop is excellent.There is no slowdown of the laptop because of the graphics.One thing particularly nice about Vista Home Premium was the ease with which I was able to connect and use a USB TV tuner.

Conclusion :

The Toshiba Satellite P205 handles multimedia content very nicely,with its excellent screen, Vista Home Premium and 2GB RAM. Many popular current games would be played with out any problem by the GMA 950 graphics . The P205 will be coming soon equipped with the new Intel Santa Rosa platform, if you're looking for improved performance then you can look out for that.

Pros

* Excellent screen
* Superior sound
* Good performance
* Appealing appearance
* Cool and quiet

Cons

TOSHIBA LAPTOPS

Review :

Toshiba laptops create many loyal fans. To know what I mean by that, let me explain...

If a user is presently using the toshiba laptop,then he probably prefer only the same toshiba laptop,that is the ease in that laptops. The reason is simple i.e.. Toshiba laptops are reliable, good performance and come in various model that will satisfy anyone needs.

Toshiba laptop computers are especially recommended for business people who tend to travel a lot. But many home users are entirely satisfied with their Toshiba laptops used in favor of a desktop.

here's a Toshiba laptop reviews that you'll hopefully find useful.

Satellite

These good Toshiba laptop computers will essentially benefit students or home users who need laptops for general usage. But, Satellites feature the very latest technology that will surely work with any application. The latest technology however is that finding drivers for software can be difficult. But, you can ask any computer master and he or she will help you without any problem.However Toshiba Satellites are heavy laptops.

Satellite Pro

A Satellite Pro Toshiba laptop is an enhanced Toshiba Satellite. The actual difference is that these Toshiba laptops are more technologically advanced which clearly make them slightly more expensive.One who wish to buy a satellite laptop has to invest more.

If you're looking for something more powerful than a standard desktop replacement for your home or office,then the Satellite Pro Toshiba laptop computers would be GOOD choice.

Portege

Portege Toshiba laptops are small, light weight and very sexy,i mean with grat looks and slim,they appear very attractive. Such laptops are perfect for travelling business use.A friend of mine who owns this notebook says that she had MANY people coming up to her to chat about her Portege laptop.
One thing about Portege that should know about is that most of the drives are not built-in except the hard drive..Make sure to carry drivers if you buy a portege laptop.

Conclusion

Overall, Toshiba laptops are well loved by their users which can only be a result of the experience that these machines are loved by their owners.A Toshiba laptop will enhance your home, office and industry.
But to buy a toshiba laptop,tha price is somewhat high compared to other laptops,but after investing in that laptop u wud be comfortable.

Review :

The nokias N73 is a latest nokia phone for music lovers capable of storing up to 1500 songs . The handset includes all the features such as 3G support, a large and clear display and a 3.2 megapixel camera with a Carl Zeiss Lens combining to make it an attractive.Basically it is all purpose media device.

Features and Performance :

The N73 Music Edition is equipped with plenty of connectivity options, but doesn't include Wi-Fi. It still sports Bluetooth, infrared, and USB 2.0 and Nokia includes a USB cable in the sales package. There is also an excellent Web browser that has the ability to scroll through each page with a feature called 'page overview'. This view shows a full Web page fit the screen and a selection box is used to navigate to the part of the page you want to view in more detail.

Email is also included with SMTP, IMAP4 and POP3 clients supported. Email attachments can be downloaded and saved to the N73 Music Edition's mini-SD card or to the 42MB of internal memory. The mini-SD card slot is cleverly located at the bottom of the handset. There is also regular MMS and SMS messaging with T9 predictive text input, but the poorly designed keyboard will affect messaging speeds.

The N73 Music Edition conveniently includes an adapter to plug in a standard 3.5mm headphone jack, which is handy, because the included pair only does a mediocre job. There is a digital music player with stereo audio supporting MP3, AAC, M4A,AAC and WMA files. The device also includes RealPlayer, so playing full screen videos in MPEG-4 format is possible. Best of all, the N73 Music Edition is a USB mass storage device so files can simply be dragged and dropped onto the phone without using Nokia software. A stereo FM radio with 20 preset stations is also included, with all multimedia functions controlled through a stylish media menu.

Running on the Symbian 9.1 operating system, the N73 Music Edition has a full array of smart phone applications, including Quickoffice Word, PowerPoint and Excel document viewers, a host of PIM features (calendar, contacts, to-do list, notes, recorder, calculator, clock and converter) and both voice recording and dialing. We were slightly disappointed with the speed of the interface as it does struggle switching between applications. Start-up time is also a little slow, taking just over a minute.

Imaging :

The N73 Music Edition's 3.2 megapixel camera features a Carl Zeiss lens, 20x digital zoom, a flash with red-eye reduction and autofocus, so it's one of the best camera phones on the market in terms of features. While the photos it captures still don't compare to a good compact digital camera, they are very good for a camera phone.

Capturing images at up to 2048 x 1536 pixels, the N73 Music Edition's colour reproduction is excellent, but image sharpness is a slight problem. Shots are fairly crisp though with defined edges and excellent levels of detail for a 3.2 megapixel sensor. The also has a solid list of settings including close-up and portrait scene modes, the ability to adjust white balance, colour tone settings, and light sensitivity (ISO). For editing photos and other images, Nokia includes a copy of Adobe Photoshop Starter Edition 3.0 in the N73 Music Edition sales package.

A dedicated camera shutter button and zoom keys are easily accessible when the phone is flipped horizontally, so the camera experience is much like that of a stand alone digital camera. Video recording is also available; up to 1.5 hours of video in MP4 and 3GP formats can be stored. Videos are captured in 352 x 288 resolution at up to 15fps and feature automatic white balance control and up to 8x digital zoom. There is a second, integrated VGA camera on the front with 2x digital zoom. This second camera can be used for both video calling over a 3G network or for taking portrait photos.

Design :

One of the most compelling features of the N73 Music Edition is the high quality, 2.4-inch colour display. The screen is capable of 240 x 320 pixels (QVGA) and can display up to 262,144 colours. It has a great viewing angle and is clearly visible in a variety of lighting conditions. The display is ideal for use as a viewfinder with the phone's camera and also stands out for Web browsing. It is capable of displaying all 12 menu items on one screen, so scrolling in the main menu is eliminated. The N73 Music Edition display also features an ambient light detector which is used to optimise display brightness and power consumption. This feature automatically adjusts the screen and keypad backlight depending on the conditions.

Measuring 110mm x 49mm x 19mm, the N73 Music Edition isn't the smallest phone on the market, but it weighs just 116g. The metallic plastic surrounding the keypad and controls gives the unit a touch of class, but the major setback of the N73 Music Edition is its keypad; it is very small and is squashed into the bottom half of the phone. The keys themselves are flat, so typing messages is quite difficult. Above the keypad is a more pleasing five-way joystick, two selection buttons and answer and end call keys. There are also buttons for menu, clear, edit and multimedia that surround the keypad.

According to Nokia the N73 Music Edition is rated at up to 226 minutes of talk time and up to 370 hours of standby time using a 3G network. These figures are very good, and we found they were quite close to the mark - on average we had to charge the unit every three days. Using a 2.5G network with handset, the figures will change to 20 minutes extra talk time, but 20 minutes less of standby time.

Review :

Dell's Inspiron 6000 is one of the first laptops to come with Intel's new Sonoma Platform and Alviso chipset, the 915GM/PM. This next-generation of Centrino technology represents a big step forward in performance and battery life.Dell seems to be slightly heavy but sleek-looking 7.5-pound ,widescreen notebook with all sorts of multimedia features, including stereo speakers, a full set of multimedia controls, and a DVD burner.

The first major improvement is the PCI Express bus, which not only allows for a higher data , but is also bidirectional, meaning it can transfer data both to and from a PCIe card at the same time. The Inspiron 6000's 533-MHz front side bus (FSB) is 33 percent faster than previous Pentium M systems.

Another big advantage of the Alviso chipset is DDR2 memory, which doubles the clock speeds of DDR SDRAM. A stick of 400-MHz in DDR2 runs at 800 MHz.Compared with a 1.6-GHz Intel Pentium M 730, the Inspiron 6000 is faster than older Centrino notebooks with higher clock speeds.

Possibly the best feature on this notebook is its long lasting battery over 6 hours.No laptop has the same performance. With a wireless Internet connection, the battery life dropped only by 10 minutes.
A set of multimedia buttons along the front panel lets you control volume and playback functions.

Other features include four USB 2.0 ports, an SD slot for swapping files with your camera or PDA, and FireWire for those to connect a camcorder.This laptop comes with a dual layer 8X DVD burner that also handles high-capacity dual-layer discs.

The Inspiron's DVD playback was smooth and reliable. The maximum resolution on our model was 1280 x 800, but UltraSharp models can reach 1920 x 1200. The stereo sound from the speakers is clear, but about what you'd expect from a two-speaker laptop. An S-Video port is there for outputting the signal to a TV.

This Inspiron features a Wi-Fi connection and optional Bluetooth 2.0 technology, so you can connect to the Web wirelessly and communicate with all sort of Bluetooth-enabled devices.
Intel's Media Accelerator 900 graphics processor won't confuse gamers with chipsets from Nvidia or ATI, but the Inspiron did an adequate job running Doom 3 at 640 x 480 and low quality, producing minimal frame stuttering.It did not successfully support to load Half Life 2.

The software bundle and warranty are about average for this type of system. Dell includes a copy of WordPerfect 12 and McAfee Security Center, and you get a year of coverage on the warranty.

There are only certain things that is not good with dell inspiron 6000. One is a power-saving feature that drastically dims the display while the system is running on battery, but that can be altered in the power manager settings to a more reasonable brightness. Other one is noisy optical drive.

Overall, the Inspiron 6000 is a shining example of what the next generation of Centrino technology can do. It's very fast, lasts a very long time between charges, and is very reasonably priced, especially considering all of the high-end features Dell includes.

Apple MacBook 1.83GHz Core Duo Laptop

Apple MacBook 1.83GHz

Apple,right from the ipods,upto the laptops apple has got a very huge range if fans for its products.The MacBook was one of the most anticipated products of 2006 from Apple.The laptops are generally called i-books.This apple models have got a very nice and good looks which easily attracts the youth,but generally apple products are places at a high price.

Specifications:

* 1.83 Intel Core Duo processor
* 2MB on-chip shared L2 cache
* 667MHz frontside bus
* 2GB 667MHz DDR2 SDRAM (PC2-5300) on two SO-DIMMs
* 60GB 5400 RPM HD
* 13.3 inch Widescreen LCD 1280x800 native resolution
* CD-RW/DVD Combo Drive
* Intel GMA 950 Integrated Graphics
* 802.11g/b Airport Express Wireless Card
* Bluetooth 2.0 internal Card
* 2 USB 2.0 Ports
* 1 Audio Input
* 1 Audio Output

Performance

The unit comes stock with 512MB RAM, a 60GB 5400 RPM HD, an Intel GMA 950 Graphics solution,this graphic card improves the gaming performance and also improves the system performance. The GMA 950 has a wide range of special effects. Even on the included memory, OS is faster, and more responsive than on previous Apple laptop models. With a full load of ram, the machine is a absolute performer. Most applications open immediately. This presents a slight issue for those looking for a design-centric notebook. There is another option by the Intel system -- running your Windows applications, on your Mac.

The one area that is minus to the MacBook is gaming performance. Simply put, if you are a gamer, then the MacBook is not the system for your needs. Most of the latest games will run slowly due to the limited graphics memory. For a person looking for a mobile gaming system, the MacBook Pro is going to be the best one. Everywhere else, the Intel Core Duo shines certainly recommend upgrading the memory to the maximum if possible....

Complaints

The main complaints about the iBook were the screen quality, and the lack of real processing power for mobile professionals.This laptop is not a good product for the money because of its poor performance.

The 15 inch MacBook Pro was very expensive. The new feature foor the mac laptops is that the windows also functions in the laptop.By adding 2GB of memory,the performance can be increased...

Conclusion:

PROS

+ New Screen

+ Core Duo smokes.

+ Styling

+ Battery Life

+ Upgrades are a breeze

+ Pricing

CONS

- No dedicated GPU means little gaming

- Runs a little warm

- New Screen (The gloss can be an issue in the wrong lighting).

Processor and Performance :

The VAIO N was not made for gaming or tearing through 3D rendering work, so it is not using the most current Intel Core 2 Duo processor or a dedicated graphics card. Rather, it is using Intel integrated graphics and the Intel Core Duo processor that was released earlier in 2006. For the laptops purpose, this is just fine. The VAIO N is meant as a machine to have around the house, likely for checking the email, looking up some websites or to see dvd movies in your home. And for these tasks the Core Duo processor is more than enough.

Screen :

The screens on Sony laptops has been good. The VAIO has an XBrite screen, meaning it is a glossy type, so colors are bold and vibrant but you do get reflection off of the screen when the background is dark and you have overhead lights.
The LCD is also nice and bright, which is excellent for ease of viewing.So you can adjust this on a level of 0 to 8.
The horizontal viewing angles of the screen are really good while the vertical angles of viewing are not so good, which is typical of any laptop.

Input and Output Ports

The VAIO N keeps its clean looks by arranging all the ports to the right side of the notebook.I think for home users with basic needs this laptop offers the essential ports though. It is having just two USB 2.0 ports .

Wireless

The VAIO N includes the Intel 3945abg wireless chipset,which allows you to connect to 802.11 a/b/g wireless access points.It offers a reliable and strong wireless connection from up to 200 feet away. There is no integrated Bluetooth option for the VAIO N.

Audio

The VAIO N offers two speakers for stereo sound. The volume is pretty good on the VAIO N, the sound quality is just okay. You'll get a bit of a tinny sound as you do from many notebook speakers. I'd say they're about average and if you want crisp and loud sound, use a pair of external speakers or headphones.

Software

Sony includes some useful and a lot of not so useful software with the VAIO C.

* Click to DVD - Sony DVD Creation software
* DVgate Plus - Sony Digital Video editing software
* Trial Versions of Sony popular games (Bewitched, Jeopardy!, Da Vinci Code, Wheel of Fortune)
* DISCover My Games application
* Microsoft Works 8.5
* 60-Day Trial Version of MicrosoftOffice 2003
* Norton Internet Security 60-Day Trial
* Napster
* TrendMicro Anti-Spyware 30-Day Trial
* A bunch of AOL Software (AOL Explorer Browser, AOL High Speed trial, AOL 5GB storage , AIM, AOL Video, AOL Desktop Search, AOL Music)

Conclusion

The price of under Rs46,000/- .The VAIO N offers a really nice screen and an appealing, basic, design. The build quality is decent and the power you get from the Core Duo processor enough for Office related tasks and for smaller games. The VAIO N can't be configured with a Core 2 Duo processor or dedicated graphics, so it's obviously not a notebook intended for power users, but for a laptop to be used around the home . I wouldn't recommend it as a portable notebook to carry around a ton though, it's not built well enough for that and it is a little heavy one.

SAMSUNG D840

There are variety of products are being launched by many companies such as SAMSUNG,NOKIA,SONY ERRICSON and MOTOROLA....We can expect slim pieces from samsung,highly reliable ones from nokia and from Moto it is true that the cost of the mobiles can be minimised....Here i am presenting the best mobile views as far as i am concerned....in todays market...Here I am presenting before you of the four latest mobile phones...from the leading mobile providers...SAMSUNG D840,MOTOROKR,SONY W880i and NOKIA N73 MUSICEDITION.
------------dedicated to Mr.S.R.Rajesh----my guide,in presenting this b4U.

SAMSUNG D840

The D840 comes under Ultra Edition range, being the pioneer of this
line-up.It has got very stylish look and good performance,this is provided with a 64 mb card later which can be uploaded to 2gb.The samsung D900 and D 840 have the same looks so that figuring the D900 and the D840 is possible only when holding them both in hands. The manufacturer claims that the D840 measures a tiny 11.9 mm in thickness, which is even thinner than D900.

Size

Measuring 98х45х14 mm and weighting 99 grams, it is quite challenging to talk.This comes with a head set and a charger.The processor performance is alos very good.The mp3 clarity is fine and the camera is a 2 Mp camera which has a good picture clarity and video clarity.

Display

The display installed in this model is great basically the same unit is found in the D900, it has QVGA resolution (240x320 pixels, 33x44 mm), diagonal is 2.1 inches. Display is able to show up to 262k colors (TFT), which are lively and colorful. Up to 8 text lines can fit it.
Slider has auto-opening mechanism, it is easy to open handset with one hand. You will see a prop, on which your thumb will be placed easily. You can see the spring that opens handset on the other side of handset.

Numeric keypad

Numeric keypad has white backlighting, it is equally spread and is nicely seen in different conditions. Keys are average in terms of size , they have minor drawback, but this does not cause much problem, on the whole keypad is average in the sense of ergonomics. Soft keys, controversially to numeric keys are big and comfortable to work with.
The left side houses volume rocker keys, as well as the slot for charger or headset, positioned slightly above. On the right you will find dedicated camera button and microSD memory expansion slot, which means the D840 is armed with hot-swap functionality.

The rear face plays host to a 2 Mpix camera module, self-portrait mirror and a LED-flash, which is no different from what we saw on Samsung X820.

The back coverholds battery section underneath. The cover is nicely attached to case, but it is hard to open. The D840 makes use of a Li-Ion battery with 700mAh onboard. Manufacturer claims that the battery can power the phone for up to 210 hours in stand by mode and provide nearly 2.5 hours of talktime. It takes around 1.5 hours for battery to charge up. No battery with bigger capacity available for this model.

MP3 player.

An integrated mp3 player, supporting random track playback, sequential and cyclic, is available on the phone. Mp3 files can be uploaded to the phone both directly through Bluetooth and through a synchronization application. The equalizer doesn’t make much sense, as there is no precise adjustment of audio controls (only a possibility to choose from classic, rock, jazz and normal sounding). The tracks can be played through the stereo headset as well as through the speakerphone. The volume bar has 10 scales on it.

Maximum number of playlists cannot exceed four. All music on memory card should be stored in proper folder, sub-directories are not supported, root folders are also not supported. This is a series disadvantage for those who have big capacity memory cards, since it is not convenient to drop all music into one folder.

Voice recorder.

You can record up to several hours of voice with the number of files which i s unlimited.It is a partial substitute for a digital tape recorder.The voice clarity is also high.

Java World.

Handset has only 2 preinstalled games: BobbyCarrot and Time Rider II.

Camera.

Samsung E900 has a 2 Mpix camera with CMOS matrix.The camera interface is standard for the company’s products - you can rotate an image vertically, turn off the shutter sound. Image compression quality is adjusted from the menu - Super Fine, Fine, Normal, Low. The ISO value may vary from 100 to 1600, but the default value is handier. White balance has several levels, and Auto is set by default.
Image taken in maximal resolution gets processed in 2 seconds (1600x1200 pixels). The handset’s camera can boast neither auto-focus nor macro mode. Considering the camera quality, it would be better to take snaps only in sunny weather; when shooting against the sun, as the camera focuses on the brightest spots of the image. Exposition determining system does its best when the objects have contrasting parts – e.g. posters. The model equals to Nokia N70 in terms of image quality, as hardware specifications of both devices coincide. At the same time, the photos taken by these handsets are worse than those by Sony Ericsson K750 or Nokia N90.
The device supports such effects as Gray scale, Negative, Sepia, Emboss, Sketch, Antique, Moonlight, Fog.

Difference between D900 and D840

The main difference between D900 and D840 is the camera...both have the same stylish looks and resembles same.Camera's functionality only differs...That is the cam used in D900 is of 3.0 Mega pixel and the cam used in D840 is of only 2.0 Mega pixel,but the cost differs in nearly Rs 12000/-
D900 Price : Rs 23,500.
D840 Price : Rs 12,500.
